Savlon Cream is used for the cleansing and prevention of skin infections in first aid (minor burns, small wounds, insect bites and stings) and minor skin problems (including blisters & sores, chapped skin, nappy rash, spots, blackheads and sunburn).
If you or a child accidentally swallow some of this cream, you should contact your doctor or local accident and emergency department immediately.
You should stop using this cream if you experience irritation or other unwanted effects, such as the side effects mentioned above.
You should always use Savlon Cream exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. If you are unsure, check with them.

The active substances are Cetrimide 0.5%w/w, Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.1% w/w.
The other ingredients are cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl hydroxybenzoate (E216), disodium edetate, perfume (including limonene, linalool, benzyl benzoate, citral) & purified water.
You should not use Savlon Cream if you are allergic to chlorhexidine as it may cause allergic reactions.
