Replens Vaginal Moisturiser treats vaginal dryness caused by menopause, childbirth, or medical treatments. It provides continuous moisture by adhering to vaginal cells and supplementing natural secretions for up to three days per application.
Have a question? We’re here to help.
Replens can cause vaginal discharge because the moisturiser and naturally shed vaginal cells are expelled from the body after application. This residue may appear white, creamy or slightly clumpy, particularly when you first start using Replens. The discharge should usually reduce with regular use. If it persists, you could leave a longer gap between applications. However, if you notice a strong or unpleasant smell, unusual bleeding, itching or pain, seek advice from a healthcare professional, as these may indicate another cause.
Replens may become clumpy or leave small white lumps because the vaginal moisturiser mixes with naturally shed vaginal cells and is gradually expelled from the body. This is a recognised effect of using Replens and does not necessarily mean you have an infection. The residue may be more noticeable during the initial stages of treatment.
It starts moisturising vaginal tissues after application, helping relieve symptoms of vaginal dryness and discomfort. One application can provide moisture for up to three days, although individual results vary. For longer-term relief, consistent use is important. Some people may need several weeks of regular use to notice a more sustained improvement in their symptoms. If vaginal dryness does not improve after a few weeks, or you experience persistent discomfort, speak to a healthcare professional to discuss alternative treatments.
