The active ingredient in each tablet is Sage (Salvia officinalis), equivalent to 2500 mg of dried herb (provided by approx. 500 mg of a high grade sage extract standardized to 2.5% rosmarinic acid).
The other ingredients include dicalcium phosphate, cellulose, tablet coating composed of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, colours (spirulina, apple, safflower, lemon), glazing agents (calcium carbonate & hydroxypropyl cellulose), and anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, stearic acid and magnesium stearate.
Warnings
You should not take this supplement if any of the following apply to you:
- If you are pregnant or lactating.
- If you are allergic to sage or any of the other ingredients.
- If you are under any medical treatment, especially hormone therapy or treatments involving oestrogen receptors (because sage has mild phyto-oestrogen activity).
- If you have epilepsy or any history of seizures (sage in high doses or certain species can accumulate thujone, which may have neurotoxic effects).
