The active ingredient in Jungle Formula Maximum is DEET (N,N-Diethyl-m-toluamide) at 50%. Other ingredients include ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and excipients to stabilise the solution.

You should not use this product if any of the following apply to you:
- If you are allergic to DEET or any of the other listed ingredients.
- If you have broken, irritated, or inflamed skin.
- Do not use on children under 3 years of age.
- Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mouth. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Not suitable for use with certain plastics, fabrics, or painted/polished surfaces – may cause damage.
