About the product

Imodium Capsules/Tablets contain loperamide hydrochloride, a medicine used to relieve short-term diarrhoea and to help manage chronic diarrhoea in certain conditions. Loperamide works by slowing down the movement of the gut, allowing more water to be absorbed from the bowel and making stools firmer and less frequent. This helps reduce the urgency and discomfort associated with diarrhoea. Imodium starts to work within a few hours and is usually taken until stools return to normal. It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years for short-term use, but should be used exactly as directed and not taken for prolonged periods without medical advice.
