Daktarin 2% Cream contains miconazole, an antifungal medicine used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, and infected nappy rash. It works by damaging the cell membranes of the fungi and certain bacteria, stopping their growth and eventually destroying them. Daktarin Cream also helps relieve symptoms like itching, redness, and irritation. It is applied thinly to the affected area twice daily and should be used for the full recommended course, even if symptoms improve, to prevent the infection from returning. Suitable for adults and children, it provides targeted relief from fungal and associated bacterial infections.
The active ingredient of Daktarin 2% Cream is miconazole nitrate.
The other ingredients are PEG-6, PEG-32 and glycol stearate, oleoyl macroglycerides, liquid paraffin, benzoic acid (E210), butylated hydroxyanisole (E320), purified water.
You should not use Daktarin (Miconazole) 2% Cream if you are allergic to the active substance, other similar antifungal medicines or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Also talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking oral anticoagulants (drugs used to thin the blood, such as warfarin).
