About the product

Piriton Hayfever and Allergy Tablets contain chlorphenamine maleate, an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as hay fever, pet allergies, dust mite reactions, and skin conditions like hives and eczema. They work by blocking histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions that causes itching, swelling, redness, and other symptoms. Piriton can also help ease the effects of insect bites and stings. Unlike newer antihistamines, chlorphenamine may cause drowsiness, which can be helpful for night-time allergy relief. The tablets are usually taken every 4–6 hours as needed and are suitable for both adults and children over a certain age.
